Through negative experiences one learns to appreciate the positive more?
In the years that I (Eddy) was busy with alternative matters, I was only too happy to believe that. Now I know that one does not need negative experiences to learn how to live life. Positive experiences come just like negative experiences from thinking and experiencing duality. One believes he should know both in order to achieve a "True Life".
The result is that one will split everything into opposites. In the consciousness of opposites one starts to let personal preferences play a role. There are many people who have a strong preference for negative experiences. They think that negative experiences will make them grow in consciousness much faster. If one then resides in that negative experience, one wants to get rid of it as quickly as possible.
Also the preference for only positive experiences can never lead to a life in harmony. Because of this preference, people live in fear that the negative experiences will sooner or later emerge. Fear can hardly be called positive.
There is more than positive - negative
There is more than positive-negative, there is also unity! In order to achieve that experience, one should be completely in the flow of one's own life. It has to do with an awareness that resonates in an energy that transcends duality. We didn't know that either before we met. Since we have been together, we have both been completely in the flow of life that our Soul indicates to us. Nobody ever told us that. It is something that one should discover and live for oneself. The Soul requires a total surrender of the individual. What one gets in that surrender transcends your wildest dreams.
